Queens man arrested for Criminal Possession Marihuana 2nd and Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 7th

PRESS RELEASE

On June 26, 2018, State Police Liberty arrested Cesar Menendez, 23, of Queens, NY for Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree, and one count of Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th degree.

The vehicle Menendez was operating was stopped on State Route 17 in the town of Liberty. During the vehicle stop, the odor of marijuana was detected. Subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of three large vacuum sealed bags containing 33 ounces of marijuana, a vape device containing cannabis oil, and $18,000 cash. Menendez was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and held on $10,000 bail.
