Obituary, Beatrice Ida Eginger

Beatrice Ida Eginger, 89 of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018, at The Pines in Poughkeepsie.

Born in Pawling, NY on June 24, 1928, she was the daughter of Chester and Anna Mae Burhans Robinson. Beatrice married George Eginger in 1946 who had predeceased her. Bea was employed at Central DuBois Taxi and AAA Taxi in Poughkeepsie as a dispatcher for 50 years. She enjoyed playing the lottery, watching the cooking channel and cooking.

Bea is survived by her 4 children; Sherry Ashline of Poughkeepsie, Georgia Place of Highland, Joseph Eginger of Mint Hill, NC and Frank Eginger of Poughkeepsie; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; her brother and sister, Kenneth Robinson of Holmes and Shirley Taylor of NC; and several nieces and nephews.  Bea leaves behind her dear friends at Interfaith Towers and Bea’s dear lifelong friend, Pat Morrison. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Eginger and the following brothers and sisters, Stanley, James and Richard Robinson, Louise Connors, Dorothy Lindberg, Bessie Clark, Mildred Pruitt and Marion Pearl Reyes.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 19 from 6-8 pm at 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 pm during the visitation.
