PRESS RELEASE

Philmont, New York – On June 1, 2018, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Joshua R. Charron, age 20, of Philmont, for Assault in the 2nd degree, a class D felony.

On June 1, 2018, at approximately 6:25 a.m., Troopers responded to Main Street in the village of Philmont for a report of an assault.  Investigation revealed Charron assaulted the victim, and caused serious physical injury.  The victim was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital by Greenport Rescue Squad.

Charron was arraigned before the village of Philmont Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.  Charron is next scheduled to appear before the Court on June 6, 2018, at 3:00 p.m.
