Newburgh man arrested for Sexual Abuse

PRESS RELEASE

On May 29th, 2018, The Troop F Orange County Child Abuse Unit announces the arrest of Jose Alfredo Enriquez-Sanchez, age 29, from Newburgh, N.Y.  After a joint investigation with Orange County Child Protective Services, Enriquez-Sanchez was arrested for Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, a Class D Felony, Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree, a class B misdemeanor, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a child, class A misdemeanors after an investigation into the sexual abuse of a child under 13 years old and a child under 17 years old. Enriquez-Sanchez was arraigned in the City of Newburgh before Honorable Paul Trachte and remanded to OCJ in lieu of $25,000.00 cash over $50,000 bond.

During this same joint investigation, It was also determined that Jose’s father,  Jose Alfredo Sanchez, age 45, from the same address in Newburgh, N.Y. also abused another child who was under the age of thirteen.  Sanchez was charged with Sexual Abuse 1st degree (two counts) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Mr. ENRIQUEZ was arraigned before the Hon. PAUL TRACHTE of the Newburgh City Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $15,000.00 cash over $30,000.00 bond.
