Holmes – Evelyn Clark, 94, of Holmes, NY died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Putnam Hospital. Born in Poughkeepsie on March 28, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Valentine and Sophie Budka Malecki. Evelyn married Edwin Clark, Sr. in 1970 at St. Joseph’s Church and he predeceased her on September 8, 1989. She had worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie as an assembler. Evelyn was a member of St. Joseph’s Church where she was very involved and was in the church choir.
Survivors include her stepson and his wife Edwin and Sandy Clark, Jr. of Poughkeepsie, NY, her brother Joseph Malecki of Carolina, her grandchildren Lisa and Steven, her niece and husband Karen and Daniel Reid, nephews Kevin Brower and Keith Brower, as well as her grandniece, Quinn Reid. In addition to her husband, Evelyn was predeceased by her brothers Stanley and Valentine and her sisters Cecilia Rogers and Eleanor Brower. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 4-6pm at, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 9:30am at St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
