Police Execute Search Warrant Related to Poughkeepsie Woman’s Death

Poughkeepsie, New York – The New York State Police and Town of Hyde Park Police Department continue to investigate the death of Jerusha Christie, age 27, whose body was discovered on March 17, 2015 on the grounds of the former Hudson River Psychiatric Center located on Cheney Drive in the Town of Hyde Park.
On March 24, 2015, a search warrant was executed at 333 Mansion Street in the City of Poughkeepsie in relation to this investigation and Gerome Harris, age 33 of Poughkeepsie, New York was subsequently arrested and charged with Hindering Prosecution 1st Degree (Class D Felony).
Harris was arraigned in the Town of Hyde Park Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $50,000 bail.
