Putnam County Sheriff’s and Carmel Police Marine Units invite you to have a voluntary vessel inspection performed by police officers and deputy sheriffs assigned to the Marine Unit on Lake Mahopac. The inspections will also be done by Sheriff’s Department deputies in Putnam Valley and Cold Spring. In an attempt to educate the community on safe boating, officers will advise boaters of required safety equipment and boating regulations in New York State.
Inspections are completely voluntary and a great way to kick off boating safety month.

Carmel Police Department & Putnam County Sheriff’s Department:
June 9th: Mahopac Marina, 897 South Lake Blvd, Mahopac, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
June 10th: MacDonald Marina, 1 Marina Drive, Mahopac, 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m.
Deputies will be performing inspections at:
June 9th: Cold Spring Boat Club, 5 New Street, Cold Spring, 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m.
June 10th: Oscawana Lake Marina, 96 Dunderberg Road, Putnam Valley, 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m.
