Poughkeepsie woman arrested for animal abuse

PRESS RELEASE

Lagrange, New York – On May 10, 2018, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Erica L. Feliciano, age 31, of Poughkeepsie, for Section 353 of the Agriculture and Markets Law, Overdriving, Torturing, and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance, a class A misdemeanor.

On May 9, 2018, Troopers received a complaint from a Veterinary Hospital in the town of Lagrange regarding possible animal abuse.  Investigation in conjunction with the Veterinary Doctor’s findings determined Feliciano’s pitbull died due to lack of sustenance for an extended period of time.

Feliciano was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Lagrange Court on May 22, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.
