State Police Investigate fatal motor vehicle crash in Yorktown

Yorktown, New York – The New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on the Taconic State Parkway southbound just north of exit 11 (NY 134), in the town of Yorktown on May 4, 2018, at approximately 8:00 a.m.
The operator and sole occupant, Darsin Sandro, age 54, of Long Island City, NY, was southbound on the Taconic State Parkway when his vehicle exited the roadway onto the center median, and struck a tree. Sandro was transported by EMS professionals to Weschester Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
