Dave Clegg Endorsed by Kingston Alderman Rita Worthington and Tony Davis

(KINGSTON, NY) – Today, Ward 4 Kingston Alderman Rita Worthington and Ward 6 Kingston Alderman Tony Davis endorsed Dave Clegg to be the next Congressperson for New York’s 19th Congressional district.

Upon endorsing Clegg, Alderman Worthington released the following statement:

“Dave is the only candidate who has actually been living in our district and fighting to improve our community – and he’s been doing so for 37 years. Between his deep roots here, his time serving as the Chair of the Ulster Human Rights Commission, his 25 years of coaching youth rec basketball, and his experience as a lawyer fighting for working people, he is by far the most qualified candidate to represent us in Congress. I am proud to endorse Dave, and know I will have a partner in him when we send him to Washington to represent our best interests.”

After endorsing Clegg, Alderman Davis released the following statement:
“The biggest difference between Dave and the other candidates isn’t just the fact that he’s been here in our community for over 35 years – it’s that the work he has been doing has always been in service to others. Between his time working on restorative justice, giving hundreds of hours in pro-bono legal help to women who have been the victim of abuse and discrimination, and his work at Midtown Rising I know he’s running to be our Congressman for the right reasons, and I am very proud to endorse him. We need someone with a proven track record and deep ties to the community who can beat John Faso – and I know Dave Clegg is the only one who can do that.”
In response to receiving these endorsements, Clegg released the following statement:
“I am very proud to have earned the endorsements of Council Members Rita Worthington and Tony Davis – two individuals who have proven track records of serving their communities. They are dedicated public servants and the sort of role models we can all look to. I want to take my 37 years of experience serving this district to Washington and work with Rita and Tony to expand opportunities in the place we are all so fortunate to call home.”
