A couple from Pennsylvania arrested on drug charges.

A Wurtsboro Trooper with a drug K9 conducted a stop on a vehicle on ST-17 in Mamakating on Monday afternoon. Upon investigation, it was determined the driver Charles Butler, of Erie PA, was Driving under the influence of alcohol and in possession of narcotics. The passenger Terry Wethered, of Erie PA, was also found to be in possession of narcotics. Suboxone, Cocaine, and Heroin were all located during the stop. The pair were arrested and transported to SP Wurtsboro. Butler was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Wethered was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance as well as Manufacturing Drug Related Paraphernalia. Both were arraigned and remanded to Sullivan County Jail on bail.
