Connecticut man arrested for felony drug possession after crashing vehicle

PRESS RELEASE
Harrison, New York – On April 7, 2018, the New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested Eduardo Jimenez, age 30, of Bridgeport, CT, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony, Driving While Intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a violation.

On April 7, 2018, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Troopers were dispatched for a property damage motor vehicle crash on Interstate 684 in the town of Harrison.   Investigation at the scene determined Jimenez was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident and he was subsequently arrested.  Further investigation found Jimenez was in possession of approximately 32 grams of cocaine, over $3,500.00 in US currency, and approximately 2.3 grams of marijuana.

Jimenez was arraigned before the town of Rye Brook Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.  Jimenez is next scheduled to appear before the town of Harrison Court on April 10, 2018, at 9:00 a.m.

Agencies working on scene with the State Police included the Westchester County Police Department, Purchase Fire Department, and Harrison Emergency Medical Services.
