Troopers charge two Dutchess County man with drug possession following suspicious persons investigation

East Fishkill, New York – On March 20, 2015 at about 11:15 p.m., New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks observed two suspicious subjects loitering in the parking lot of the Summerlin Plaza on Route 376 in the Town of East Fishkill. When the Trooper walked over to interview the subjects, he observed drug paraphernalia.

The subjects, identified as Joseph W. Cerone, age 29, of Fishkill, New York, and David G. Parquet, 29 years old, of Wappinger, New York, were found to be in possession of cocaine, suboxone, marihuana, and a metal knuckle knife.

Cerone was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, a Felony, due to a prior conviction, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.

Parquet was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, a Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Parquet and Cerone were issued appearance tickets directing them to appear before the Town of East Fishkill Court on April 1, 2015.
