Arthur C. Dunn, 73, a longtime Millerton, NY resident died Sunday, April 1, 2018, at Sharon Hospital. Mr. Dunn retired from the Wassaic Developmental Center where he worked as a therapy aide for over twenty-five years.
Born November 27, 1944, in Wallkill, NY he was the son of the late William and Helen Dunn. Arthur graduated from Valley Central High School and married Caroline E. Seigel on August 14, 1983, in Dover Plains. Mrs. Dunn died January 22, 2004.
Arthur was a longtime member of the Millerton Grange and the Dover-Amenia Masonic Lodge and enjoyed photography in this spare time.
Survivors include his stepdaughter; Marguerite Walker of Stanfordville; his sister, Betty VanHuesen; a nephew, Michael VanHuesen; three grandchildren, Kristin Charles-Scaringi, Michael Charles and Kara Turner; five great-grandchildren, Jane Scaringi, Emmett Charles and Kyla, Carl and Peyton Turner. He was predeceased by his brother, William Dunn.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018, from 2-3pm at 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY 12546. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
