Fallsburg Man arrested for Criminal Contempt

On March 22, 2018, State Police at Liberty charged Dejan Nikovic, 40, of Fallsburg, NY with Criminal Contempt 2nd (Class A Misdemeanor). While on patrol, Troopers investigated two subjects for suspicious behavior on State Route 42 in the Town of Thompson. While conducting a warrant check of the subjects, a stay away Order of Protection was found to be in effect. Nikovic was placed under arrest and transported to SP Liberty. At SP Liberty, Nikovic was processed without incident and arraigned in the Town of Thompson Court. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Thompson Court on March 28, 2018, at 5:00 pm
