Philmont man arrested on federal child pornography charges

Philmont, New York – On March 1, 2018, the New York State Police in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested James Brady, age 68, of Philmont, for the federal offenses of Distribution of Child Pornography, and Possession of Child Pornography.
On March 1, 2018, The Federal Bureau of Investigation and The New York State Police executed a federal search warrant of Brady’s residence on Eagle Street, in the village of Philmont. Evidence was secured and Brady subsequently arrested.
Brady was arraigned in Albany at the U.S. District Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail.
