NYSP Wurtsboro arrest Summitville man for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs

On March 6th, 2018 Wurtsboro Troopers arrested Richard J. Gallo Jr. age 34, of Summitville, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.  Gallo was found sleeping in his car with the engine running at a gas station in the Town of Mamakating.  While the Troopers interviewed the operator a strong odor of marijuana was detected.  He had impaired motor coordination and admitted to taking Xanex a few hours prior.  It was determined that he was impaired and he was arrested for the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.  He was processed at SP Wurtsboro and released to a third party.  He is scheduled to appear in the T/Mamakating Court on March 20, 2018 at 9 AM.
