New York City Man Caught Driving with a Suspended License

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrest of a New York City man driving while his privilege to drive was suspended.

On February 28, 2018, at approximately 1:06 a.m., while on patrol on Route 9D in the Town of Philipstown, Deputy Sheriff William Verrastro observed a vehicle bearing New Jersey plates which had no plate lamps. Deputy Verrastro stopped the car, and a Department of Motor Vehicle check revealed that the driver, 32-year-old Eugene K. Lane of New York City, had a total of nine pending suspensions on his license.

Mr. Lane was arrested, charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor, and released for a future court appearance in the Town of Philipstown.
