Storm Restoration Update

Monday, March 5th

Work continues throughout Dutchess County to restore power and reopen all roadways impacted by last week’s storm.  As of noon today, there were still approximately 13,500 locations still without power in Dutchess County as reported by Central Hudson and NYSEG.  There are a limited number of roads still closed throughout the county as a result of downed wires, almost all are expected to cleared and re-opened by tomorrow.  Dutchess County Department of Public Works and local municipal highway crews are working with utility providers to clear roadways as the down wires are neutralized and are safe for highway crews to clear.

Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro said, “Dutchess County continues to work alongside crews from Central Hudson and NYSEG to ensure the necessary resources are available to restore power and open roadways across the County.  Dutchess County Departments of Emergency Response and Public Works staff have been working diligently to assist however possible.”
