Sheriff Langley Reports Recent Driving While Intoxicated Arrests

 

Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports two men were recently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated on Putnam roads.

On February 22, 2018, at about 11:30 p.m. member responded to the Mobil gas station on Bryant Pond Road, Putnam Valley, on a 911 call reporting a person passed out in the driver’s seat of a Honda.

Upon arrival, the Deputy found 33-year-old Kevin Perry, of Wappingers Falls, slumped over in the driver’s seat. After several attempts to wake Mr. Perry up, he finally awoke and exited the car. Mr. Perry failed sobriety tests and was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On January 14, 2018, at about 11:58 p.m. while on patrol on Fair Street in the Town of Patterson, a Deputy observed a 2016 Jeep narrowly miss striking a guard-rail. The Deputy stopped the vehicle. The driver, James J. Madrak, age 37, of Newtown, Connecticut, failed several sobriety tests and was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Mr. Madrak was released on bail for a future court appearance in the Town of Patterson.
