Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrest of 42-year-old Leonardo Martinez, of Elmhurst, NY on prostitution and drug possession charges.

On February 16, 2018, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Bucks Hollow Road in the Mahopac area of the Town of Carmel. The vehicle was being operated by Martinez.

Martinez was also found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine.

Martinez was charged with one felony count of Promoting Prostitution in the 3rd Degree and one misdemeanor count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

Leonardo Martinez was arraigned before the Honorable, Judge Thomas J. Jacobellis of the Town of Carmel Justice Court and remanded to Putnam County Correctional Facility on $15,000/$25,000 bail/bond; the investigation is on-going.
