Obituary, Alma Rose Golnek

KINGSTON – Alma Rose Golnek, 86, of Golden Hill Drive formerly of Amenia, N.Y., died Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 4, 1928 in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Veronica (Hoffman) Golnek.

Alma graduated Saint Mary’s School and was a Class of 1945 graduate of the Academy of Saint Ursula’s. For over 25 years, Alma worked for the New York Telephone Company starting as a long distance operator and then as payroll clerk. When she resided in Amenia, she was the secretary for Gregory J. Reihl Chiropractor. Alma was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church where she was also the church secretary and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

Surviving are her sisters, Ruth Glowinski and Verda Connor Raskoski. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Her brothers, Herman and Charles Golnek all died previously.

Friends will be received at the funeral home at 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
