Anthony J. Meliti, 75, died suddenly at The Grand in Pawling, N.Y. on March 19, 2015.

Born in Troy, NY on May 9, 1939 to Nicholas and Helen (Prezio) Meliti, Anthony, a long-time resident of Poughkeepsie, was a college football player and graduated from Ithaca College of NYS; he went on to serve in the Marine Corps of Engineers. Anthony was a school teacher in the Rhinebeck School District and a surveyor until he retired. He always enjoyed seeing his grandchildren. Antiquing and all kinds of physical activities were some things he enjoyed doing, but running was his favorite.

Anthony will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his two sons Richard and John, daughter-n-law Tamara, grandsons Ryan and Matthew, granddaughter Tahlia, two sisters Philly Lange of MA and Theresa Carey of VT, as well as many nieces and nephews.
