Wawayanda man arrested for Impersonating a Police Officer

On February 5, 2018, State Police Middletown arrested Christopher S. Kirkpatrick, 27, of Wawayanda, for Criminal Impersonation in the First Degree, a class E Felony.
Kirkpatrick was traveling westbound on I-84 in the town of Wawayanda when he stopped a motorist and identified himself as both an off-duty Rockland County Police Officer and Poughkeepsie Police Officer. Kirkpatrick was operating a green 2002 Ford F150 pickup at the time of the incident. He was also in possession of a portable radio, handcuffs, and white LED strobe lights attached to the visor of his vehicle. Kirkpatrick was released on an appearance ticket pending a future court appearance.
