Yorktown man arrested for DWI after driving the wrong way on the Taconic State Parkway

Yorktown, New York – On February 7, 2018, the New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Andrew R. Kothe, age 28, of Yorktown, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol with a prior conviction within ten years, a class E felony.

On February 7, 2018, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Troopers received a complaint of a wrong way driver on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown in the area of the walkway bridge.  Assisted by Yorktown Police Department the vehicle was located and stopped.  The operator Kothe was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

Kothe was issued the appropriate uniform traffic tickets returnable to the town of Yorktown Court on February 20, 2018, at 6:00 p.m.
