Gilbert L. Hall, 91, of Holland, Vermont, died December 31, 2017 at Ferncliff Nursing Home.
Gilbert was born August 2, 1927 in Holland, Vermont, the son of the late Mildred (Collins) Jacobson and Harry Hall. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Gilbert worked as a mechanic in Amenia, NY for many years. He had a knack for fixing cars when anyone else would have given up hope of getting them running again. He was also a wiz at math. Gilbert was also a hunter and fisherman who respected the responsibilities of taking a life for food.
He is survived by his elder brother, Collins Hall also a daughter, Wanda L (Hall) Ruggiera, and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held in Vermont in the Spring.
