Wanted New Jersey man arrested as a fugitive from justice

On January 25, 2018, the New York State Police from the East Fishkill barracks arrested Alex Mondragon, age 23, of Paterson, New Jersey, as a Fugitive from Justice.
On January 25, 2018, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a Trooper from the Troop K Commercial Vehicle Unit was conducting vehicle inspections on Interstate 84 in the City of Beacon. An investigation determined that the driver, Alex Mondragon, was wanted in New Jersey. Mondragon had an active arrest warrant for Theft by Unlawful Taking, a felony, from Sussex County, New Jersey.
Mondragon was arraigned at the Town of Wappinger Court, and he was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail with no bail. His next appearance was scheduled for January 26, 2018, at 9:00 AM at the Dutchess County Court.
