Snow. Areas of blowing snow. High near 22. Blustery, with a north wind 14 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Snow likely, mainly before 10pm. Areas of blowing snow. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 4. Wind chill values as low as -11. West wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Dangerously cold wind
  chills possible. Plan on slippery road conditions, including
  during the morning commute on Thursday. In addition, areas of
  poor visibility are expected. Tree branches could fall as well.
  Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected, highest
  east of the Taconic Parkway. Wind chills could range from 15
  below zero to 30 below zero with the lowest readings on Friday
  night into Saturday morning.

* WHERE...Western Greene, Eastern Columbia, Western Ulster and
  Eastern Dutchess Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 1 AM Thursday to
  1 AM EST Friday. For the Wind Chill Watch, from late Thursday
  night through Saturday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates around half inch per hour.
  Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will cause areas of blowing and
  drifting snow. Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below
  zero will cause frostbite in as little as 10 minutes to exposed
  skin.
