State Police investigate fatal house fire in Somers

Somers, New York – On December 26, 2017 the New York State Police from the Somers barracks investigated a fatal house fire on Hickory road in the town of Somers.On December 26, 2017, at approximately 2:15 a.m. Troopers and firefighters arrived at 12 Hickory road to combat a fully engulfed house fire. The sole occupant Harmony Thaler, age 46, was found deceased by fire personnel. The fire is not considered suspicious at this time.
The State Police were assisted on scene by Somers Fire Department, Croton Fire Department, Westchester County Emergency Medical Services, and the Westchester County Fire Cause and Origin Team.
