Marbletown man arrested for Leandra’s law DWI

PRESS RELEASE

Rhinebeck, New York – On December 21, 2017 the New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Ralph A. Filipowicz, age 36, of Marbletown, NY, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra’s Law), a class E felony.

Troopers responded to a personal injury crash on Albany Post road at the intersection with Mill road in the town of Rhinebeck on December 20, 2017.  Investigation found Filipowicz was driving while intoxicated and had a passenger under the age of fifteen-years-old.

Filipowicz was arraigned at the town of Hyde Park court after his release from Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital and released on his own recognizance.  Filipowicz is next scheduled to appear before the town of Rhinebeck court on January 4, 2018.
