CHS Dance Team presents their 16th Annual “Evening of Dance,” Saturday, Jan. 6 at GFMS. Doors open at 5pm, show begins at 6pm. Tickets sold at the door and are $10/adults; $5/students. Raffle tickets and snacks available for purchase. Come see great performances by our team, senior solos and some special guests! GFMS Yearbook Booster/Recognition Ads will be online ONLY this year! The school has partnered with Jostens to provide assistance in creating your personalized ad for your student. There are 2 ad sizes–1/8 page for $20 and 1/4 page for $35. Visit www.jostensadservice.com for more information or to place your ad. Ad deadline is January 26, 2018. Late orders will not be accepted.
 
GFMS Yearbooks are for sale, $46+tax (does not include cost of personalization or extras). Sorry, yearbooks are not free for 8th graders. To place an order on line: www.jostensyearbooks.com Order early as there will be limited/no copies for sale in June.
 
Applications and Information for the 2017-2018 GFMS Science Fair are now available. Visit the GFMS home page and look for the Science Corner section. This year’s fair is on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

KPS NEWS
Send in your household Box Tops labels in a baggie with your child’s and teacher’s names on the outside. There are containers in each classroom. In February, the KPSPTO will give a hot cocoa-and-cookies party to the class that collects the most Box Tops labels.

School Store is now open every Friday (while school is in session) from 12-2pm for grades 1-4. $5 maximum.

CAMP HERRLICH PROGRAMS
  • Winter Camp for the December holiday break. Fun, enriching, well-supervised activities will keep your kids active and engaged during the days off from school, and lunch and snack are included! PATTERSON RECREATION FALL PROGRAMS

  • Last pizza night of 2017 tomorrowSaturday, Dec. 16 from 6-9pm at the Rec Center. $12 admission includes a slice of pizza, a drink and 3 hours of fun! This is a drop off program and there is no entry after 6:30pm. Additional slices may be ordered at drop-off for $2/slice. Concession stand will be open.
  • Flag Football 2018–one week registration period! Sign up for the winter season between Jan. 2–9. First game is on January 28. This program fills up fast–don’t miss out. Volunteer coaches needed.
  • Coming soon—Cupcake Wars Round 2, new Pizza Night dates and more!
ARTS ON THE LAKE-EVENTS

GREEN CHIMNEYS COMMUNITY OUTREACH CENTER ACTIVITIES/EVENTS
All take place at the Community Outreach Center, 965 Route 22, Brewster, NY
  • Teen Night, Thursdays from 6-8pm and Fridays, 2:30-8pm. A safe environment to hang out with friends, play pool, watch movies. Free internet, homework help, peer support groups, arts and crafts and more.
  • LGBTQ–Alliance provides safe space for LGBTQ and allied youth and young adults ages 13-21 to build community and promote social justice through empowerment. Ongoing group every 3rd Saturday from 11:15am to 12noon. For info contact Dora or Patrick at 845 279-1467.

PUTNAM COUNTY YOUTH FORUM
High School Teens–serve on the Youth Forum Planning committee! Identify workshops, find facilitators, assist in designing flyers and posters and help run the event (event takes place on Tuesday, April 17). The first meeting of the planning committee is Tuesday, Jan. 16 from 6:30-8pm at 1 Geneva Rd., Brewster. The committee will meet each Tuesday until early April 2019.
