Kinderhook, New York – On November 20, 2017, the New York State Police from the Kinderhook barracks arrested Jeffrey A. Thebodeau, age 41, of Kinderhook, for Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Menacing in the 3rd Degree, a class B Misdemeanor.

Troopers responded to a residence in Kinderhook for a report of a domestic to find the involved parties gone from the scene. Troopers and Bureau of Criminal Investigation members tracked the suspect and victim to the Blue Spruce Motel. Thebodeau was arrested for his actions during this domestic incident and for violating an order of protection. On the previous day Thebodeau was also arrested by the State Police for domestic violence, and an order of protection was issued by the court protecting the victim.
Thebodeau was arraigned before the Town of Greenport Justice Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail with no bail. Thebodeau is next scheduled to appear before the Town of Kinderhook Justice Court on November 28, 2017, at 6:00 PM.
