State Police Child Abuse Unit arrest Walden man for Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child.

On November 2nd, 2017, the New York State Police Troop F Orange County Child Abuse Unit arrested ALTON ROYAL, age 53, from Walden, NY. Royal was charged with Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child (PL 130.96) an A-II Felony.
When A person over the age of 18 engages in a course of sexual conduct against a child less than thirteen years old it would constitute the crime of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child.
Royal was arraigned before Village of Walden Judge Gerald Mishk and remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.
This was a joint investigation between the Troop F Orange County Child Abuse Unit, which is comprised of members from the State Police, Orange County Sherriff’s Office, Port Jervis Police Department and the Goshen Police Department, the Orange County CPS and state police investigators from NYC.
