PRESS RELEASE

Southeast, New York – On October 1, 2017 the State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Marquita D. Hinnant, age 33, of Waterbury, Connecticut, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a Class B Felony.

Troopers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on Interstate 84, in the town of Southeast, of the suspect vehicle.  During interview of the driver, probable cause to search was developed which yielded approximately 21 grams of crack cocaine.  Hinnant was taken into custody for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree.

Hinnant was arraigned before the Town of Southeast Justice Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.  Hinnant is next scheduled to appear before the Town of Southeast Justice Court on October 12, 2017 at 01:00 PM.
