SP Livingston – Claverack man arrested for Criminal Contempt, Stalking, and Reckless Endangerment

Livingston, New York – On September 25, 2017, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Ricardo Mercado, age 57, of Claverack, NY, for Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, Stalking in the 3rd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Troopers responded to a domestic dispute on State Route 9 near County Route 10 in the town of Livingston.  Investigation revealed that Mercado had violated a full stay away order of protection already in place.

Mercado was arraigned before the Town of Livingston Justice Court on September 25, 2017, and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
