SEX OFFENDER CHARGED FOR FAILING TO REGISTER / REPORT ADDRESS.
On September 21st East Fishkill Detectives arrested James Durlacher, 34, who had been staying with a freind in Wappingers. Durlacher had been previously registered as a Level 2 Sex Offender with the East Fishkill Police at an address in Hopewell Jct. On August 17, 2017 he reported to police that he had moved from East Fishkill to a Newburgh address. That was later determined to be a false address and Durlacher had not registered or reported his location to any Police Agency. East Fishkill Detectives, with assistance from Dutchess County Probation were able to locate and arrest Durlacher.
Durlacher was charged with Sex Offender; Failing to Register/ Report Change of Address, a class D Felony. He was arraigned before Town of LaGrange Justice O’Hare and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $50,000.Bail or $ 100,000.Bond. He is due to return to East Fishkill Court on September 26th .
