Law enforcement make multiple heroin trafficking arrests in Sullivan County

On September 19, 2017, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office, along with federal, state and local law enforcement executed search warrants and arrested eight individuals on felony charges as part of a months long narcotics investigation.
The investigation targeted a group of individuals from New Jersey who moved to Sullivan County with the purpose of distributing large amounts of heroin. The investigation started in June of 2017, when the New York State Police received information concerning the organization, which splintered into separate heroin trafficking operations within Sullivan County.
The investigation revealed Davante Robinson, supplied large amounts of heroin to members of the organization, and was selling large quantities of heroin throughout Sullivan County. One sale was in excess of 1,000 bags of heroin for distribution. The heroin was originating in Essex County, New Jersey and being transported north for sale in Sullivan County.
State Police discovered the organization sold heroin in the town of Mamakating, Fallsburg, Highland and the villages of Liberty and Monticello.
Evidence recovered during the execution of the search warrants included 121.3 grams of heroin, which included more than 3,000 glassine bags of heroin and 31 grams of loose heroin. Also seized was Suboxone, crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and more than $6,000 cash. As a part of the investigation, New Jersey State Police also executed search warrants and arrested an additional three people, seizing a weapon, along with a quantity of heroin and marijuana in Essex County, N.J.

Seven defendants were arraigned in Sullivan County Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on no bail.
Davante Robinson was arrested in Essex, New Jersey and is awaiting extradition to New York.
