The Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary is set to host the 3rd annual family day on September 17, 2017 from 11am until 4pm at the Beekman Firehouse located at 316 Beekman-Poughquag Road in the Town of Beekman, New York.

Each year we welcome hundreds of guests to the free family friendly event.  We are welcoming over 40 vendors that will be selling craft and direct sale type items.  In addition, there will be a variety of food trucks to satisfy anyone’s taste.

Back by popular demand will be or face painter, the Dutchess County 911 Smoke House and of course the touch a truck portion of the day where kids can walk onto a life size fire truck.  New this year will be appearances by Marshall from Paw Patrol, RC Racing where kids can race remote control cars and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand to conduct canine demonstrations.

The Auxiliary will also be raffling off dozens of donated gift certificates and items.  The calling for the raffles will be at 3:45pm.  The event is organized by Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary members Linda Vazquez, Cassie Leonard and Anna Pettersen.

As Hurricane Irma approaches Florida, blood centers across the county are preparing for the possibility of being asked to help.  As with Hurricane Harvey, the New York Blood Center would additional supplies of blood on hand.  During the family day, auxiliary member Megan Bender has organized a blood drive that will happen in our Bingo hall.  All are welcome to donate.

The Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary’s primary goal is to provide relief and assistance for the Beekman Fire Fighters at the scene of fires, drills and other functions. They sponsor a variety of events including Bingo, Pasta Nights, Pancake Breakfasts, the annual Penny Social, the annual Family Day and Cookies with Santa event which will be held this year on December 3, 2017. Funds from their events are used to support the Beekman Fire Company with new equipment and supplies. The Beekman Fire Company Auxiliary is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization.
