Rhinebeck man arrested following domestic dispute

PRESS RELEASE
Rhinebeck, New York – On September 3, 2017, the New York State Police in Rhinebeck arrested 21-year-old Eljay Danti-Murray of Rhinebeck, New York, for Assault in the 3rdDegree, Menacing 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, all Misdemeanors.

On September 3, 2017 at approximately 1:30 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to investigate a domestic dispute. The defendant is accused of physically assaulting the victim and causing minor injuries.  Danti-Murray also threatened the victim with a kitchen knife, making her fear for her safety.

Danti-Murray was arraigned before the Honorable William Sanchez and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.  Danti-Murray is scheduled to reappear in Rhinebeck Court on September 14, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
