Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Connecticut man on a charge of unlicensed operation.

On July 23, 2017 at approximately 12:15 a.m., Mr. Eli Post, 35, of New Milford, Connecticut, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree. A deputy had stopped Mr. Post after observing him commit a traffic violation on US Route 6, in the Town of Southeast, and subsequently determined that the man held a suspended license.

The defendant was processed and released on desk bail, pending an appearance in the Town of Southeast Justice Court on August, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
