Harrison, NY – On July 24, 2017, at approximately 7:27 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-287, in the Town of Harrison for a speeding violation. During the interviewing of the driver the Trooper was able to establish probable cause search the vehicle and its occupants which produced 2.4 grams of marihuana, 2.9 grams of cocaine and (1) $100. Dollar bill of Counterfeit U.S. Currency, multiple illegal fireworks. The driver Jamar B.Johnson, age 29, of NYC, NY and his passenger, Arnisha M. Chery, age 21, also from NYC, NY were taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Tarrytown and was subsequently charged with:

  • Forgery in the 1st Degree; a Class C Felony. (Johnson and Chery)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree; a Class D Felony (Johnson and Chery)
  • Unlawful Possession of Marihuana; a Violation (Johnson and Chery)
  • Unlawful Possession of Illegal Fireworks; a Violation (Johnson and Chery)
  • Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd Degree; a Class A Misdemeanor. (Chery Only)
  • False Personation; a Class B Misdemeanor. (Johnson Only)
  • Vehicle and Traffic Violations (Johnson Only)
Both subjects were arraigned in the Town of Harrison Court on July 25, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. No bail information is available at this time.
