PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police in Monroe arrested Ptrick Tibby, age 47, of Florida, NY for two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and one count of Obstructing Governmental  Administration in the Second Degree.

On July 20, 2017 at approximately 8:20 AM, the New York State Police and the Village of Florida Police responded to the SS Seward Institution located at 51 North Main Street in the Village of Florida for a report of two abandoned toddlers.

School officials located a one year old and two year old boy walking around the school grounds.  One child was naked and one child was in diapers with a minor head injury.  Responding patrols were able to locate the toddler’s father, Patrick Tibby sleeping on a mattress inside his residence.  The toddlers were taken to Saint Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick, NY for evaluation.

Child Protective Service responded and removed the children from Tibby’s custody.  Tibby was arrested and was released on his own recognizance, pending a future court date in the Village of Florida.
