Middletown woman charged with entering Fishkill Correctional Facility with drugs

Fishkill, New York – On July 2, 2017, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Laura D. Clouse, age 39, of Middletown, New York, for Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a Class C Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a Class D Felony.An investigation revealed that Laura Clouse brought Methadone into the Fishkill Correctional Facility with the intent to provide it to an inmate.

The State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.

Clouse was arraigned at the Village of Fishkill Court, where she was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $7,000 cash or $14,000 bond. Her next appearance was scheduled for July 5, 2017, at 10:00 AM at the Town of Fishkill Court.
