Before July 4th

East Fishkill

Details: East Fishkill’s 4th of July event starts at 7 pm with an oldies concert Adam and the Newhearts performing all the great rock and roll hits from the 50’s and 60’s! Fireworks will go off at dusk/9:15. A rain date has been set for July 2nd, same time & place.

City of Beacon

Time: 3pm – 10 pm
Details: The City of Beacon’s Independence Day event includes live music and food vendors, with activities for the kids to do in the afternoon, and fireworks at dusk. Fireworks Public Sail from Beacon

Details: Join Clearwater for a sunset sail during the City of Beacon’s July 4th celebration. While onboard you will experience an authentic tall-ship sail! www.clearwater.org

Fishkill Farms

Independence Day Bash-Cherry Picking & Country Line Dancing

Enjoy a full day on the farm filled with fruit picking, live music by Stax of Soul USA, country line dancing at 6pm, sunset wagon rides, amazing food prepared by Chefs Rohan & Kristeen, crafting smores at a night time bonfire, lawn games & beach balls galore, and the Treasury Cider Garden serving cold glasses of Treasury Cider as well as local wine and beer!

Cherry Picking: Experience one of summer’s sweetest treats, cherries! They’re sustainably grown and held on the tree until they reach perfect ripeness. 9 am-6 pm or while supplies last; priced per pound.

 

Wappingers Falls

Details: Dutchess Stadium hosts fireworks after the Hudson Valley Renegades vs. Aberdeen game on July 3rd,  and following the July 5th game vs. Staten island. The Hudson Valley Renegades are the Class A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. https://www.facebook.com/HVRenegades/

On July 4th

Hyde Park 4th of July Parade

Time: 10AM

Admission: Free
Details: The theme of this year’s Hyde Park Parade is ““NYS Police – Celebrating 100 years of Service.” The parade starts at the Roosevelt Theaters and ends in the back of the Regina Coeli Church for trophies and awards.

 

Village of Fishkill

Time: 11AM
Address: Van Wyck Hall, 504 US Rte. 9, Fishkill, 12524. 845-897-4430.
Admission: Free
Details: The Village of Fishkill hosts a reading of the Declaration of Independence on the steps of Village Hall. The reader is Denise Doring Van Buren, National First Vice-President of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Refreshments follow (no fireworks).

 

Clermont State Historic Site – An Old-Fashioned Independence Day!

Time: 2 pm – 10 pm
Address: 1 Clermont Rd., Germantown, 12526. (518) 537-4240.
Admission:  $12 per car, (Friends of Clermont $10)

18th century crafts, Reenactors, music and entertainment make a great day for young families.  Later, enjoy live music and delicious hot food until the terrific view of the Saugerties fireworks breaks over the Hudson River. www.friendsofclermont.org/events

City of Poughkeepsie

Time: 7 pm – 10 pm.

Admission Price: $12.50 at Walkway Over the Hudson; Free at Waryas Park

Details: The City of Poughkeepsie’s annual fireworks spectacular on July 4th can be viewed either from Waryas Park (free of charge) or from up on the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park). Wristbands are for sale, and you’re required to purchase them in advance to use the Walkway (age 5 years & up) for $12.50. The gates open at 6:30pm. Fireworks begin at dusk (9-9:30pm) from a barge on the Hudson River. View from the train station parking garage as well. Call (845) 451-4072 or see www.cityofpoughkeepsie.com . Bannerman Island 4th of July Fireworks Tour

Time: 12:30 pm

Enjoy a boat ride to Bannerman Island on The Estuary Steward. Guided tour of Bannerman’s Castle and residence on Pollepel Island. Learn about about Frank Bannerman, his island, home and gardens.  Fireworks viewing after the history tour. www.bannermancastle.org/index.html

Beekman

Details: The Town of Beekman will have fireworks at its community day on July 16. The event will include a live band, vendors and activities. Fireworks take place at dusk.
