Mary Charest, a resident of Wingdale, NY, died on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the New Milford Hospital, New Milford, CT. She was 58 years old.
Mary was born on June 23, 1959 in Yonkers, NY to John and Marcia (Semanonko) Somoskey. She graduated from Brewster High School in 1977 and married the love of her life Scott Charest at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church on May 14, 1983.
Mary enjoyed gardening and reading, but her greatest joy was found in caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. They were truly the center of her world.
Besides her husband Scott of 34 years, Mary is survived by her three children, Jason S. Charest of Highland, NY, Robin (Derek) Jeffers of Arizona and Nicholas Charest of Wingdale, NY, her siblings; John Somosky of Brewster, NY and Billy Somosky of Carmel, NY, Michele Bouton of Wingdale, NY and Marcia Smoot of Wappingers Falls, NY. Also her 3 grandchildren; Brayden, Kaylee and Anneliese.
A prayer service will be held at 7:45 on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8pm. A private cremation was held earlier.
