State Police Monroe are investigating a motorcycle crash in the Town of Woodbury

PRESS RELEASE

On Monday, June 16, 2017 at approximately 5:00 p.m., State Police in Monroe responded to the intersection of ST-32 and Larkin Drive in the Town of Woodbury to investigate a motor vehicle accident stemming from a vehicle pursuit involving a Town of Tuxedo Police unit pursuing a motorcycle.  The preliminary investigation has revealed that the motorcyclist, operating a 2015 Suzuki GSX-R600, was being pursued by the Tuxedo unit had passed a red light at the intersection of ST-32 and Larkin Drive and struck the passenger side of a 2002 Subaru Legacy which was making a left turn onto Route 6.  The impact caused the motorcycle to flip forward and then subsequently land on the front push bumper of the Tuxedo patrol vehicle. The operator of the motorcycle sustained minor injuries and was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center.  Any questions regarding the pursuit should be referred to the Town of Tuxedo Police Department at 845-351-5111.
