Niverville woman charged with drug possession following a one-car crash

PRESS RELEASE

Chatham, New York – On June 25, 2017, New York State Police from the New Lebanon barracks arrested Theresa A. Trossbach, age 22, of Niverville, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

At approximately 6:26 p.m., Troopers were dispatched by Columbia County 911 to a one-car rollover auto collision that occurred on Highland Road.

Troopers interviewed the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Theresa Trossbach. Trossbach stated that she lost control of her vehicle after she swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway.  Trossbach and her passenger were not injured at the time of the crash and declined medical treatment.  A subsequent investigation revealed that Trossbach possessed cocaine and marihuana.

Trossbach was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Chatham Court on July 12, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
