53-year-old Wingdale motorist hits Pedestrian in The Town of Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE – A 36 year old Poughkeepsie man was struck by a town of Dover resident while walking near the northbound lane of Innis Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie at 11:38 p.m. on Tuesday. The accident occurred near the south entrance to the Ridgefield Apartment complex.
The pedestrian was seriously hurt and was transferred to Westchester Medical Center with help from the Arlington Fire Department and Mobile Life Support Services.
No alcohol or drug involvement is not suspected on the part of the driver according to Poughkeepsie Police.
The accident is currently under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Poughkeepsie Police Traffic Enforcement Unit at 845-485-3680.
