ADA SIDEWALK REPAIRS

The Village of Millbrook, New York is accepting competitive sealed bids for CONCRETE SIDEWALKS, ADA RAMPS, CURB & MISCELLANEOUS FLATWORK.

The Village will receive sealed bids at the location stated below no later than 2:00 pm, June 15, 2017 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Any submittal received after the above stated time and date will not be considered. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Bidder to have its Bid delivered to the Village of Millbrook, by U.S. Mail, hand delivery or any other method available to him/her; however, facsimile or electronic submittals will not be accepted. Delay in delivery shall be the sole responsibility of the Bidder. Submittals received after the deadline will not be considered. Award of the Bid is subject to authorization and appropriation of funds by the Dutchess County Community Development Block Grant.

The original bid submittal (1 original, 2 copies) must be delivered to Village Hall in a sealed package, clearly marked on the outside, ADA SIDEWALK REPAIR and addressed to:

WATER PLANT GENERATOR

Sealed Bids will be received at the Village of Millbrook Village Hall, Attention: Sarah Witt, 35 Merritt Avenue, PO Box 349, Millbrook, NY 12545 until 2:30 pm local time of June 9th, 2017, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud for:

WATER PLANT GENERATOR

Work shall include but is not limited to:

The installation of a new generator and 480 Volt electrical service at the water treatment plant.

An optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, June 31st 10:00am at the Village of Millbrook WTP, 3636 Rt 44, Millbrook, NY 12545.

Bids should exclude sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. A bid bond in the amount equal to at least five (5%) percent of the Bid will be required with submission of each bid. The successful bidders, to whom the contracts are awarded, will be required to provide a payment and performance bond equal to the full amount of the Contract. Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis. The Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, religion, sex or national origin. New York State Prevailing Wage Requirements shall apply to this project.

Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mail box or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. One original and one copy of the bid forms must be submitted.

Drawings and Specifications will be available beginning May 22nd at the Village of Millbrook Village Hall, 35 Merritt Avenue, Millbrook, NY 12545 between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Bid documents are available free of charge in digital format on CD-ROM if picked-up at the location above. Optional hard copies of bid documents are available for an additional non-refundable reproduction fee of $75. Both digital format and hard copy plans may be mailed for a fee of $30.00. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation.
