June 1, 2017 – Dutchess Community College’s athletics program took home three sportsmanship awards from Region XV of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

DCC earned 2016-2017 sportsmanship awards for women’s softball and men’s basketball as well as the Mickey Crowley President’s Cup, which honors a Region XV college that displayed outstanding sportsmanship over the entire year. Awardees are chosen by a group of referees and umpires who have officiated Region XV games during the fall, winter and spring seasons.

DCC Director of Athletics Matthew Paquet joined softball coach Sean Crowell and men’s basketball coach Tirek Gayle to accept the awards at a ceremony held at the end of May.
